WERKMAN TECH WAS INVITED TO ATTEND THE 23RD INTERNATIONAL PASSIVE HOUSE CONFERENCE

On October 9th, 2023, the 23rd International Passive House Conference and the 5th China (Gaobeidian) International Door and Window Expo commenced in Gaobeidian, Hebei. Distinguished government officials, passive house experts, and industry leaders representing over 50 countries and regions participated in this prestigious event. Notably, the International Passive House Congress has been held 22 times in Europe since its inception in 1996. However, this congress marks its inaugural foray into Asia, specifically China.

Originating in Germany, the passive house concept is renowned in China as an ultra-low energy-consumption building. It represents a green building approach that eliminates the need for coal-fired gas heating in winter and air conditioning for cooling in summer, ensuring year-round comfort while prioritizing energy efficiency. Promoting and advancing passive house technology holds tremendous significance in fostering widespread adoption and development.

Reliable sources indicate that the International Passive House Conference receives sponsorship from esteemed entities such as the International Passive House League (IPHA), Baoding Municipal Government, Hebei Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and is hosted by Gaobeidian Municipal Government, and China International Door and Window City. Embracing the theme of "Passive House All Over the World," the conference facilitates comprehensive discussions on cutting-edge passive building technology, the latest passive house projects, innovative approaches to passive building technology in diverse climatic zones, and extreme weather conditions. To facilitate these exchanges, the organizing committee has scheduled the main forum of the International Passive House Conference along with 20 parallel forums and 10 parallel forums of the International Door and Window Expo.

The Passive House International Conference serves as the largest annual gathering of the passive house thought leaders and innovators worldwide, attracting approximately 1,000 professionals. This significant event provides extensive opportunities for networking and communication. Attendees can share their experiences, engage in lectures, seminars, and project visits, and stay informed about the latest advancements in passive house technology.

Notably, the conference will witness the participation of more than 700 representatives from government agencies, chambers of commerce, and expert scholars hailing from over 50 countries and regions. Moreover, the event will host exhibitions by more than 1,000 high-quality enterprises specializing in ultra-low energy consumption and green building materials. Keynote speeches by over 150 industry leaders will enrich the forum. With a main forum and over 30 parallel sub-forums, experts in the field of building energy conservation from around the globe will convene to discuss the development trends in ultra-low energy consumption building technology, share successful case studies, and explore solutions tailored to different building formats, climate characteristics, air conditions, and lifestyles.

Simultaneously, the International Passive Housing Exhibition and the 5th International Door and Window Expo will be held, occupying an expansive exhibition area of 80,000 square meters. This platform will showcase over 10,000 new products and materials from the passive house and green building materials industry. The exhibition not only displays the latest technological achievements in passive buildings worldwide but also facilitates face-to-face communication between material suppliers and builders. It serves as an invaluable platform for the application of new materials and technologies. The conference will also spotlight several demonstration projects, including the "Gaobeidian Train New City," a world-renowned ultra-low energy consumption demonstration project boasting the largest building volume and highest energy-saving level. Additionally, the "National Green Smart Building Demonstration Center" will embody the core concepts of sponge cities and green smart cities, representing a model for future urban development. The "New Living Experience Center" will showcase the world's first residential park integrating cutting-edge design concepts and architectural technology. Lastly, the German Industry 4.0 projects, the "National Ultra-low Energy Consumption Building Industry Base," and the "National Building Energy Conservation
